Simple Moving Average ADX forex strategy

The 100 period simple moving average - ADX forex strategy is used to buy dips in up trending currency markets while selling rallies in down trending markets. The overall trend is determined by a 100 period MA. We consider the market bullish if price is trading above the 100 MA while bearish if price is trading below the 100MA. We look for buy signals ( ignore all sell signals) when price is considered bullish, we look for sell signals (ignore all buy signals) in a bearish market.

Recommended time frames:
1 hour and above

Trading rules to enter the market

Buy order

> Price above 100 simple moving average

> DI+ crosses DI- from below
> ADX at or above 25 value (indicates trending market)
> Enter long trade
> Set stop 3 pips below the most recent level of support
> Trade objective: 1:2 risk to reward (min obj. should be 50 pips)

Sell order

> Price below 100 simple moving average

> DI- crosses DI+ from below
> ADX at or above 25 value (indicates trending market)
> Enter short trade
> Set stop 3 pips above the most recent level of resistance
> Trade objective: 1:2 risk to reward (min obj. should be 50 pips)

Trading example: Let's have a look at the Pound/Dollar 1 hour chart below
Pound/Dollar 1 Hour chart Forex Strategy
  • Price is bullish - trading above the 100 simple moving average.
  • The black circles indicate the time to go long in the market @ 1.5475. (ADX>25, DI+ crosses DI-)
  • Stop loss is set 3 pips below the most recent level of support @ 1.5452
  • Total trading risk: 23 pips. (entry price - stop loss price)
  • Minimum trade objective: 50 pips

ADX-MACD Easy Forex Trending System

This forex trending system is based on two standard indicators, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and Average Directional Index (ADX). The strategy relies on a +Di -DI cross-over system confirmed by the MACD indicator for primary trend direction. The strategy can be used on any currency pair and time frames above the 30 minutes.

Used indicators settings:
MACD default settings (12,26,9), ADX (30)

GBP/USD Hourly Chart Short Trading Example

Trading Rules

Long trades:

  • MACD trading above 0
  • +DI crosses above -DI
  • Place stop loss 3 pips below the most recent support level
  • Enter long trade at the candle's close
  • Target level 1(T1) : Risk x 1.5
  • Target level 2(T2) : Risk x 3.0
  • Exit trade if MACD closes back below 0
Short trades:

  • MACD trading below 0
  • -DI crosses above +DI
  • Place stop loss 3 pips above the most recent resistance level
  • Enter short trade at the candle's close
  • Target level 1(T1) : Risk x 1.5
  • Target level 2(T2) : Risk x 3.0
  • Exit trade if MACD closes back above 0
Now let's explore the above short trade:

The example is a short GBP/USD Dollar trade on the 1 hour chart. In the above figure, MACD is trading below 0 (starting at 23 feb 2010). We wait until -DI trades above +DI for a short trade setup. Feb 24 2010, -DI crosses above +DI.

We enter a short trade at 1.5407. Our stop loss is placed 3 pips above the most recent resistance level at 1.5480. Total risk on this particular trade: 77 pips. Price objective T1: 77 pips x 1.5 = 115 pips. Price objective T2: 77 pips x 3.0 = 231. Both profit targets were hit.

Tip: Move stop loss on the remaining half position (T2) to break even once T1 target is reached, this creates a risk-free trade.

Simple Forex Strategy - Dolphin Trader

Dolphin Trader forex strategy buys dips in bullish markets while selling rallies in bearish markets. It’s a universal trading strategy that works on every time frame and currency pair. Let’s have a closer look how it works.
  • Buying dips in up trending markets.
  • Selling rallies in down trending markets.
Dolphin trader consists of two moving averages. A buy zone is created when the short term moving average crosses the long term moving average from below. On contrary, a sell zone is created when the short term moving average crosses the long term moving average from above. See picture below.
The buy zone will be used to trade long signals and the sell zone to trade sell signals.

BUY Signal: Buy zone + Laquerre crosses from below 0.15 back above 0.15
Sell Signal: Sell zone + Laquerre crosses from above 0.75 back below 0.75

BUY Signals: Place stop loss 1 pip below the most recent support level.
SELL Signals: Place stop loss 1 pip above the most recent resistance level.

Total trading risk x 1.5
Dolphin Forex Strategy Trading Example
In the above example, a sell zone was created by the two moving average system – the 5EMA has crossed the 200 SMA from above thus creating a sell zone.
In this case, we will be looking for sell trades only. As you can see, the Laquerre indicator crosses back from above 0.75 back below and we immediately sell the EUR/USD at 1.3127 (at the open of the new candlestick).
We place our stop loss above the most recent resistance level at 1.3191. Total risk (pips): 64
Calculating Target: 64 pips (risk) x 1.5 = 96 pips (TP @ 1.3031)

Strategi Trading Inside Day, simple namun akurat

tips trading futures galleriaHalo rekan trader!
Everything should be as simple as it is, but not simpler
~ Albert Einstein

Strategi Trading Inside Day

strategi trading inside day

  • Temukan pair mata uang yang mempunyai kondisi candle inside day pada time frame harian (daily).
  • Lakukan entry posisi BUY 10 pips diatas harga high candle inside day pada hari sebelumnya.
  • Jangan lupa untuk memasang stop loss.
  • Lakukan take profit apabila kita sudah mendapatkan profit sebesar dua kali lipat dari nilai stop loss kita.

  • Temukan pair mata uang yang mempunyai kondisi candle inside day pada time frame harian (daily).
  • Lakukan entry posisi SELL 10 pips dibawah harga low candle inside day pada hari sebelumnya.
  • Jangan lupa untuk memasang stop loss.
  • Lakukan take profit apabila kita sudah mendapatkan profit sebesar dua kali lipat dari nilai stop loss kita.
  •

Kupas Tuntas Teknik Scalping Forex

Melanjutkan pembahasan strategi scalping forex sebelumnya, ada seorang scalper trading bernama Paul Rotter. Beliau cukup terkenal sebagai “The Most Successful Scalper Trading”.

Teknik Scalping Trading Menggunakan 2 Chart

Menggunakan chart pada time frame 30 menit untuk memperkirakan pergerakan trend dan menggunakan time frame 5 menit untuk melakukan open atau close posisi.

Teknik Scalping Menggunakan Indikator

Memanfaatkan Moment Pembukaan Market

Q: Shouldn’t a trader stick to his opinion?
A:
No, definitely not. An analyst or some kind of guru has to stick to it, but a trader should have no opinion. The stronger your opinion, the harder it is to get out of a losing position

Seorang master scalper Paul Rotter.

Forex Fibonacci Indicator Explained

As most of you know that the forex market basically moves in waves and there will be time where the market extends and there will also be time where the market retraces.
One of the best tools that you can use to time this retracement and extension is the forex Fibonacci levels.

It is a number sequences that is named after Leonardo of Pisa and the Fibonacci number sequences goes like this
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and so on. (Add the first 2 numbers to get the next)
However in trading, we are not interested in the sequences, we are actually interested in the Fibonacci ratio that the sequences create.
These are the ratio that we use as a forex trader.

Below are the retracement ratios
- 0.236
- 0.382
- 0.500
- 0.618
- 0.764

Below are the extension ratios
- 1.272
- 1.382
- 1.500
- 1.618

So How Can You Use These Ratios In Trading?
The Fibonacci ratio is in fact used as a level of support and resistance. These are areas where you will SELL or BUY depending on what you see and where you are.
Although there are quite a number of ratios given above, the important ones are the 0.382, 0.500, and 0.618 as they are usually area of strong support when the price retraces down and area of strong resistance when the price retraces up.

Here Is How You Should Plot Your Fibonacci Levels In An Uptrend
Step 1: Using the tool provided by your platform, Pick a high point and a low point
Step 2: Select the levels that you want to display. (We will select 0.382, 0.500, 0.618, 1.272, 1.382, 1.500 and 1.618)
If you are in a downtrend, all you have to do is to switch the step 1 points.
In the case where you are in an uptrend, you will find that the retracement of your price will usually land on the 0.382, 0.500 or the 0.618 level as these are area of strong support and the price will then extend up to continue in its uptrend movement.
If you ever find the price moving below the 0.382 level, there is a high chance that the trend is reversing.
In the case where you are in a downtrend, the market will retrace upward and it will also find its resistance at 0.382, 0.500 and the 0.618 levels. Similar to the uptrend, if the market retraces above the 0.382 level, there is a high chance that the market is reversing.
In my next blog post, I will show you how to trade using Fibonacci Strategy and how you can make use of the 1.272, 1.382 and the 1.618 levels. In the meantime, you should try to plot the Fibonacci levels on your chart to see the power of it.

My Forex Scalping System Revealed

Forex scalping has become more and more popular among new traders. This is because forex scalping tactics allows the trader to see fast profit sometime within less than 20 minutes of trading and this is what entices some traders.
Although scalping the forex market can see quick profit, it can also amount to quick loss if you do not execute it with proper analysis. Due to the scalping nature of your trade as a scalper, you can enter several trades within 1 hour and it can amount to a sizeable loss if you have consecutive loss trades.

1) Mark out the important support and resistance levels, typical support and resistance levels are
  • Fibonacci 0.618, 0.5. 0.328
  • Pivot Point S3, S2, S1, PP, R1, R2, R3
  • Previous high will be your current resistance and previous low will be your current support.
2) Use oscillating indicators like stochastic or RSI or even MACD can help you to time your entry more accurately.
  • If you are looking to SELL, you should try your best to wait for the oscillating indicator to go overbought and start to curve down.
  • If you are looking for BUY, you should try your best to wait for the oscillating indicator to go oversold and start to curve up.
Besides timing your entry, these oscillating indicators can also help you to time your exit.
  • If you go SHORT, you should be looking to exit your trade when the oscillating indicator reaches the oversold zone.
  • If you go LONG, you should be looking to exit your trade when the oscillating indicator reaches the overbought zone.
3) Confluence of Events – In trading, we should also wait for confluence of events to happen before we enter or exit a trade. Confluence of events refers to the situation where two or more conditions to enter a trade or exit a trade happen together. This can gives you more confident and assurance in the trade.
  • The best long entry point is when the price hits the support level with the oscillating indicator reaching the oversold zone and start to curve up.
  • The best short entry point is when the price hits the resistance level with the oscillating indicator reaching the overbought zone and start to curve down.
Above are the forex scalping system I have been using. Although some of you may be thinking that it is a simple strategy and may even wonder if it can make you money, you need to know that the most profitable strategy are those that are easy and simple to execute.
I do not encourage you to start trading this strategy immediately and I actually hope that you have the habit to try out new strategy on DEMO account and master the way to execute it before trading LIVE with it.

Using Forex Candlestick Pattern To Tell The Trend

As for the forex candlestick pattern, I will use them to tell reversal. Below are some reversal candlestick patterns:

As for the continuation pattern, it must comes with a strong movement and then the formation of the below patterns.

The candlestick patterns serve as a pre-warning to traders telling us something is coming and therefore we have to prepare ourselves for it.
For those of you who are not using forex candlestick patterns in your trading, it is time for you to consider putting them into your trading plan.

Forex Japanese Candlestick Patterns

Candlestick charts originated in Japan during the 18th century. Since no defined currency standard existed in Japan during this time rice represented a medium of exchange. Various feudal lords deposited rice in warehouses in Osaka and would then sell or trade the coupon receipts, thus rice become the first futures market. In the 1700s legendary Japanese rice trader Homma Munehisa studied all aspects of rice trading from the fundamentals to market psychology.
Homma subsequently dominated the Japanese rice markets and built a huge fortune. His trading techniques and principles eventually evolved into the candlestick methodology which was then used by Japanese technical analysts when the Japanese stock market began in the 1870s. The method was picked up by famed market technician Charles Dow around 1900 and remains arguably the most popular form of technical analysis chart in use by today’s traders of financial instruments.
Candlestick charts show the same information as bar charts but in a graphical format that provides a more detailed and accurate representation of price action.
Candlestick charts visually display the supply and demand situation by showing who is winning the battle between the bulls and the bears.
Candlestick charts reveal another dimension of the given period’s price action by pictorially displaying the force (or lack of force) behind each price bar’s movement.
Candlestick formations make all single bar and multi-bar patterns significantly easier to spot in real time, thus increasing your chances of catching high probability trade setups. In addition, because candlestick charts use the same data as bar charts (open, high, low, and close), all Western technical signals used on a bar chart can easily be applied to a candlestick chart.
Candlestick charts offer everything bar charts do and more, using them is a win-win situation because you can use all the trading signals normally used on bar charts with the added clarity and additional signals generated by candlesticks.
Candlesticks charts are more fun to look at.
Candlesticks have a central portion that displays the price distance between the open and the close. This area is known as the real body or simply the body.
The price distance between the open and the high for the period being analyzed is called the upper shadow, sometimes referred to as an “upper wick” as well. The highest price paid for a particular period is the marked by the high of the upper shadow.
The price distance between the close and the low for the period being analyzed is called the lower shadow, sometimes referred to as a “lower wick”.
The real body displays the opening and closing price of the security being traded. Closing prices have added significance because they determine the conviction of the bulls or bears. If the security closed higher than it opened, the real body is white or unfilled, with the opening price at the bottom of the real body and the closing price at the top. If the security closed lower than it opened, the real body is black, with the opening price at the top and the closing price at the bottom. Depending on the price action for the period being analyzed a candlestick might not have a body or a wick.
To better highlight or visualize price movements, modern candlestick charts (especially those displayed digitally) often replace the black or white of the candlestick real body with colors such as red (for a lower closing) and blue or green (for a higher closing).

There are multiple forms of candlestick patterns; here is a brief overview of the most popular and widely used single and multi-bar patterns commonly used today.
Signals uptrend movement, they occur in different lengths; the longer the body, the more significant the price increase
bullcandle
Signals downtrend movement, they occur in different lengths; the longer the body, the more significant the price decrease.
bearcandle1
These candles provide a bullish signal, the lower shadow must be at least the size of the real body; the longer the lower shadow the more reliable the signal.
lowerwick1
These candles provide a bearish signal, the upper shadow must be at least the size of the real body; the longer the upper shadow the more reliable the signal.
upperwick
The hammer is a bullish signal that occurs during a downtrend. The lower shadow should be at least twice the length of the real-body. Hammers have little or no upper shadow. When a hammer occurs during an uptrend it is known as a “hanging man” and is a bearish signal. Because of the bullish long lower shadow however, this pattern needs bearish confirmation by a close under the hanging man’s real body.
hammer
This candle has a long upper shadow with little, or no lower shadow, and a small real body near the lows of the session that develops during or after and uptrend.
shootstar
The Harami is a two-candlestick pattern in which a small real body forms within the prior session’s larger real body.
harami
The Doji is a candlestick in which the session’s open and close are the same, or almost the same. There are a few different varieties of Dojis, depending on where the opening and closing are in relation to the bar’s range.
doji
The Dragonfly Doji has a long lower shadow, the open, high, and close are at or very near the session’s high. This pattern often signals reversal of downtrend.
dragonflydoji
The Gravestone Doji has a long upper shadow, the open, low, and close are at or very near the session’s low. This pattern often signals reversal of an uptrend.
gravestone
This candle has a very long upper or lower shadow and a small real body. If the opening and closing price are the same the candle has no real body and is then called a Long-Legged Doji. The first picture is a high wave candle the second is a Long-Legged Doji.
longleg
The bullish engulfing pattern consists of large white real body that engulfs a small black real body in a downtrend. The bearish engulfing pattern occurs when the bears overwhelm the bulls and is reflected by a long black real body engulfing a small white real body in an uptrend.
engulf
Spinning tops are simply candles with small real bodies.
spintop
My favorite price action setups consist of the pin bar, the inside bar, and my proprietary fakey setup. The above candlestick patterns can easily be condensed down to one of my three price action setups or may be applicable to more than one of my price action setups. It can be difficult to keep track of the various forms of candlestick patterns. This is why I feel like my three main price action setups do a great comprehensive job of including all the relative candlestick patterns and make them easier to understand in the context of daily price action. Let’s take a look at some charts with examples of some of the various candlestick patterns converted into my price action setups.
The pin bar can include the following previously described candlestick patterns; long lower shadow candles and long upper shadow candles, hammers and shooting stars, dragonfly and gravestone dojis.
pinbar
hammerpin
shootingstarpin
Inside bars can technically encompass any candlestick pattern because they are simply a series of at least two candlesticks where the first candlestick completely engulfs the entire range of the subsequent candlestick, however, more often than not inside bars end up being spinning tops or dojis. Note, the inside bar is different from the “engulfing pattern” because it includes the entire range of the bar, from high to low, where as the engulfing pattern only includes engulfment of the real body of the candle. I generally trade inside bars in the context of a strongly trending market as they are often great entry points into trends. However, often times inside bars will occur at major market turning points as well as the previous trend loses momentum, pauses and forms an inside bar, and then changes direction.

ib

My fakey setup is essentially a multi-bar pattern that consists of a false break from an inside bar pattern or a key level. The fakey can consist of a number of different candlestick patterns. Often times the fakey setup will consist of a bullish or bearish engulfing pattern which is completely engulfing the range of a spinning top or doji candle which gives rise to a false break bar that can take the form of any of the candlesticks above that qualify as pin bars.

fakey

Candlestick charts offer a more vivid depiction of price action than what a standard bar chart can provide. Candlestick patterns in and of themselves are useful, however there are many different names and interpretations of candlestick patterns which often can induce confusion and can be hard to keep track of. You will find that my price action educational material condenses all of the important candlestick patterns into 3 simple yet highly effective price action setups. I feel that my take on candlestick patterns expressed via my proprietary ideas on price action trading is a much more efficient, simple, and profitable way to trade candlesticks and I think after studying my forex trading course you will feel the same way.
Good trading,

Pola CandleStick

terjadi perubahan arah trend.

The Candlestick

The Candlestick Formations

The Bullish Candlestick Formations

Ini semua adalah Bullish pattern. Beberapa diantaranya menandakan strong bullish pattern.

Hanging Man – Terjadi setelah uptrend yang signifikan.
Dark Cloud Cover – Merupakan bearish pattern .
Shooting Star – Merupakan trend balik minor.

Neutral Candlestick Formations

Formasi candlestick netral tidak menunjukkan uptrend maupun downtrend. Untuk keadaan seperti ini disarankan wait and see.

Long-legged Doji –Sering menunujukkan titik balik.

Ok, sampai disini pelajaran mengenai Candlestick.
